Case · The deaths around Jeffrey Epstein

Are people around Epstein being killed?

The answer so far
No record shows it

Of the deaths checked here, most have a suicide ruling or a natural cause, and no record ties any of them to a plan to silence witnesses. One is an unsolved 1985 murder, and two still have no final ruling.

  • UnverifiedTheoryPeople around Epstein are being killed to silence them
  • UnverifiedTheoryThe deaths on the list are suspicious
  • UnverifiedTheoryThe dead are all connected through a money trail

Lists of the dead around Jeffrey Epstein keep growing. Each death checked against its official ruling, and each connection to Epstein against the record.

The question Are people connected to Jeffrey Epstein dying in a suspicious pattern, or is the list padded with old age and illness, and what actually connects them to him?

  1. 6 Mar 1985
    likely

Arthur Shapiro, a lawyer whose firm handled Les Wexner’s company, is shot dead in Columbus, Ohio

He was killed the day before he was due to testify to a grand jury about his own taxes. Police called it a mob-style killing. It has never been solved.

  2. 10 Aug 2019
    confirmed

Jeffrey Epstein is found hanged in a federal jail in New York; the city medical examiner rules it a suicide

His death has its own case file, “The death of Jeffrey Epstein”, which this case does not re-rate.

  3. 15 Aug 2019
    likely

An internal FBI document lists eight people as Epstein’s co-conspirators, among them Les Wexner and Jean-Luc Brunel

The Justice Department removed the redactions from the names in February 2026. Wexner’s representative says a prosecutor told his lawyers in 2019 he was “neither a co-conspirator nor target in any respect”; an FBI email spoke of “limited evidence regarding his involvement”.

  4. Nov 2020
    likely

Efrain Reyes, Epstein’s last cellmate, dies at his mother’s home in New York, reportedly of COVID-19

He was 51. Police confirmed the death to the New York Daily News, which reported COVID-19; no medical examiner’s ruling was found. FBI agents had questioned him after Epstein died.

  5. 19 Feb 2022
    confirmed

Jean-Luc Brunel, the modelling agent charged in France with raping minors, is found hanged in his Paris prison cell

He was found at about 1 a.m. in La Santé prison while awaiting trial, and prosecutors treated it as a suicide. He had denied the charges; his lawyers said his act was driven not by guilt but “a deep sense of injustice”.

  6. 7 May 2022
    confirmed

Mark Middleton, a former Clinton White House aide, dies in Perry County, Arkansas; it is ruled a suicide

He was 59. His brother told a court he had been treated for depression for some time and had grown worse in the five months before he died.

  7. 23 Aug 2022
    likely

Steven Hoffenberg, the Ponzi schemer who once employed Epstein, is found dead in his Connecticut apartment

He was 77 and had been dead at least seven days. The autopsy found no sign of trauma and police saw no struggle or forced entry; the cause was left pending toxicology, and no final ruling was found.

  8. 25 Apr 2025
    confirmed

Virginia Giuffre, Epstein’s best-known accuser, dies at her farm in Western Australia

She was 41. Police said the death was “not suspicious in nature”, and her family said “she lost her life to suicide”.

  9. 14 Aug 2025
    confirmed

The National Enquirer publishes a list of 22 dead people it says are linked to Epstein

It quotes a private investigator, Ed Opperman: “They are all connected through a money trail.” The list runs from a 1985 shooting to Giuffre’s death.

  10. 20 Jul 2026
    confirmed

Daniel Siad, a model scout accused of finding women for Epstein, is found dead at home near Paris before anyone questioned him

He was 69 and under investigation in Paris for rape and human trafficking, which he denied. The Paris prosecutor said his phone had been tapped but the taps had not justified an arrest; lawyers for the women said he was never questioned.

  11. 23 Sep 2026
    confirmed

Simon Andriesz, a banker who had told the FBI about Howard Lutnick’s Epstein ties, is found dead in Thailand

He was 57 and had once been a managing director at BGC, where Lutnick was chief executive. His family said he took his own life and there was no indication of foul play; no official cause has been published.

  12. Oct 2026
    confirmed

Britain’s financial regulator orders a review of how it treated Andriesz

The Financial Conduct Authority asked a non-executive director, Lea Paterson, to look at its dealings with him. It had wrongly told him he could not get whistleblower protection; MPs want an independent review instead.

  13. 22 Oct 2026
    likely

French prosecutors close the inquiry into Siad’s death: a heart condition, no poison, no crime

The autopsy had found no recent violence but an old heart attack. Later tests found a condition that could cause sudden cardiac death and no toxic cause, and the Nanterre prosecutor closed the case for lack of any offence.

Sources disagreeEarly reports said toxicology results were still awaited and no cause had been found (AFP, 24 Jul 2026); the October closure reports give the results. Both are shown.

“They are being killed to keep them quiet”

Is there evidence that people tied to Epstein were killed to stop them talking?

Where it came from · by Aug 2025

Where it first appeared was not traced. Its best-known form is the National Enquirer’s August 2025 list of 22, and it gained new reach after Siad’s and Andriesz’s deaths in 2026.

Their strongest arguments, and what the evidence says
  1. Siad died while his phone was tapped and before anyone questioned him

A man who asked to be heard died before he was.

    The premise: likely

True, per the Paris prosecutor and the women’s lawyers. But the autopsy found no recent violence, and the later tests found a heart condition and no toxic cause.

  2. Andriesz was a whistleblower who had just found new evidence

He had told the FBI about Lutnick and passed a 2018 Lutnick–Epstein email chain to House lawmakers.

    The premise: confirmed

True that he did both. His family says he took his own life, and no record read links his death to his disclosures.

  3. Brunel died in a prison cell before his trial, just like Epstein

Two men facing trial over the same network died the same way.

    The premise: confirmed

True. French prosecutors treated Brunel’s death as a suicide, and no record read shows otherwise.

Key claim: people around Epstein are being killed to silence them

No tier 1–2 record supports a killing in any of the deaths checked here, or a link between them. Two deaths still lack a final ruling, so it cannot be ruled out for those.
